Movie lovers can easily find how delicate and brittle the blu-ray disc is. It is almost impossible to protect blu-ray discs from scratches caused by frequently uses. And that’s one of the most important reasons why so many people would like to have a copy (backup) of their blu-ray discs. Blu-ray contents, as we know, take ups much more space than DVDs. How to seek a balance between video quality and file size? This article may give you some hint.

How to back up an unprotected blu-ray disc?
In order to back up blu-ray disc, you should have a BD drive that can read the blu-ray disc. Backing up an unprotected blu-ray disc is as easy as copying video files from a data disc. All you need is to connect BD drive with PC, place the blu-ray disc in the BD drive, open its root directory, find BDMV>> STREAM, and copy the *.m2ts clips to your hard drive.

If you’d like to burn the disc to another blank blu-ray disc, just copy both the BDMV and BDAV folder to your hard drive and use blu-ray authoring software like Imgburn (freeware) and Nero 10 (shareware) to burn the data to a blank blu-ray disc.

How to back up a commercial blu-ray disc?
Backing up a commercial blu-ray disc is much difficult. As we all know, commercial blu-ray discs are copy-protected. AACS copy protection scheme was initially used to protect commercial blu-ray movies, but soon AACS was cracked, so the Blu-ray Disc Association turned to BD+ technology. BD+ is extra DRM on top of AACS and had not been fully penetrated prior to this. To copy movie from a copy-protected blu-ray disc to your hard drive, blu-ray ripping tool that is able to crack AACS and BD+ protections is required. Among the top blu-ray ripping software, Pavtube Blu-Ray Ripper is favored by movie lovers for its intuitive interface, excellent decrypting ability, and multiple blu-ray backing up solutions. Users can either make full back up of a commercial blu-ray disc with one click or copy blu-ray movie to MKV, MP4, AVI, WMV, MOV, DivX, Xvid, H.264 video at 1080p, 720p, 480p and more.

Copy commercial blu-ray movie from disc to disc

Copy an entire blu-ray disc to hard drive with one click
Launch the Pavutbe Blu-Ray Ripper, click “BD/DVD ROM” to load blu-ray disc, then you can copy all the contents on the blu-ray disc to your hard drive with one click on the “Full Disk Copy” button. The free trial version of Pavtube Blu-Ray Ripper can help you complete 3 blu-ray disc/DVD backing up tasks.

Make full copy of blu-ray disc in fastest and easiest way

Blu-ray backing up: Seek a balance between video quality and file size
Provided that you have a 2TB Seagate external hard drive or Windows Media Server, you may copy all the blu-ray movies to the hard drive using “Full Disk Copy” facility and enjoy the blu-ray movie without any quality loss. TrueHD and DTS-MA audio can be retained as well. Notice that a very powerful PC/ HTPC/ media player is required for playing decrypted M2TS files. If the videos play jumpy, try cutting down video bit rate when ripping the blu-ray disc.

For those who want to save storage, a useful tip is converting the blu-ray movie to H.264 encoded MP4/ MKV/ MOV videos. The H.264 is the most efficient method for compressing data so far and it creates video of smaller size and relatively high quality. To further shrink the output file size, you may click “Settings” button and set video bitrate down. Output file size is displayed at the bottom of the interface so you can try different settings till you get a desired file size. For instance, while backup a 20GB blu-ray movie to hard drive, I select MPEG-4 encoded HD MP4 (1920*1080) as output format, and the file size is 16GB. When I select H.264 encoded HD MP4 (1920*1080) instead, the file size is reduced to 12GB, when I set video bit rate down to 6mbps, the file size is cut down to 8G, and the output video is still at high definition quality.

If you just want to backup blu-ray movies to NAS, HTPC, Apple TV, iPad, PS3, Xbox 360, iPhone, Android phone for playback, I would say you’re lucky, as Pavtube Blu-Ray Ripper has taken it into consideration when developing the software. You can find optimized formats for copying blu-ray to iPad, Apple TV, PS3, Xbox 360, iPhone, Android phone, etc.

Sunglasses are a must buy accessory this summer if you want to look stylish and beat the heat at the same time. Sunglasses cover the most vulnerable areas of your face, your eyes and the area round it, that are most affected by exposure to the sun. The dangerous UV rays of the sun not only cause damage to the skin, but also to your eyes, causing cataracts, glaucoma and even blindness. So if you want to save your eyes from dangerous diseases, the easiest way is to buy yourself a sunglass.

But before you head to the shop, there are a few words of caution that you should keep in mind. The first of these is that try on as many sunglasses as you can to check if they cover your eye area completely. When you try on a few shades, also double check so the sunglasses don’t pinch the bridge of your nose, rather it should sit comfortably. Also to be kept in mind when buying sunglasses is that the glass or the rim, under normal conditions should not in any way touch the eyelashes or sag down to your cheeks.

If this happens it means the sunglass isn’t well fitted enough and needs to be changed. You know you’re wearing the correct sunglass if your pupil is right in the centre of the glass, if not, it’ll have to go as an imperfectly placed sunglass may harm your vision! Apart from these general things, that are mainly the health hazards of buying the wrong pair of glasses, we can now move on to the style quotient of the sunglasses. Sunglasses, like haircuts or makeup, should be bought according to your face structure. To find out the perfect sunglass for yourself, read on to find out how you can choose a sunglass:

o If you’ve got an oval face, you’re in luck! It’s by far the “perfect” face shape out there and just about any style, shape and size suits you! So what are you waiting for? Go flaunt those new shades!

o Having a round face means that the shape of the sunglass has to be such that it makes your face look chiseled and longish, but cutting down those chubby cheeks. Rectangular frames, especially those that are slightly broader than your face will suit you best.

o An angular face needs a pair of shades that’ll make your features tone down and get you that soft, sophisticated look. When choosing sunglasses, you can either opt for square frames, or frames that are smaller than your face so that it minimizes your curves.

o If you have a square face, the frames that would look absolutely perfect are cat’s eye frames. They add a style quotient to square faces and at the same time minimize the squareness of your face, adding volume.

o For an oblong face, it would be best if you settle for round or square shaped frames. This would shorten the length of your face, giving it an illusion of being broader than it really is.

o For those who have a heart shaped face, go for cat’s eye rimmed glasses that enhance the area around the eye, rimless glasses look fabulous as well.

Now that you’ve got your face structures figured out and know which type of glass to choose, you can move on to decide on the color of the frames. While black is the most versatile color that is always in vogue, it doesn’t suit everybody! So don’t just follow the fashion trends blindly, buy a frame that looks and feels comfortable. Also, sunglasses come in a variety of frames and styles, so take your pick according to the material and cost that suits you best.

Insidious movie 2011  online

Saw franchise veterans James Wan and Leigh Whannell team with Paranormal Activity writer/director Oren Peli to give the familiar haunted house story an exciting new twist with this tale of a family that moves into an old house, and begins to suspect they are under siege from otherworldly forces when their young son inexplicably falls into a deep coma. As devoted parents Josh (Patrick Wilson) and Renai (Rose Byrne) struggle in vain to uncover the root cause of their son’s condition, the stress of the situation gradually begins to take its toll on their once-strong relationship. Later, when darkness falls and specters appear to reach out for them from the shadows, the frightened parents realize they’re dealing with powers beyond human comprehension. Barbara Hershey and Lin Shaye co-star.

ormer “Saw” guy James Wan’s “Insidious” is one of the films playing SXSW’s Midnight Features slate later next month.

Until then, though, here’s the full trailer for the movie, which stars Rose Byrne and Nite Owl — er, I mean, Patrick Wilson — as proud parents who discover that something very, very bad has gotten a hold of their comatose son. Child rearing. Am I right? If it’s not one thing, it’s another… The film itself is rated PG-13, which makes you wonder how horrifying the movie could possibly be, despite the rather effective trailer below.

When proud parents take possession of an old house, an accident results in one of their sons falling into a coma. The tragedy doesn’t stop there when they are beset by vengeful spirits from another realm in this new chiller by the director and writer of Saw and by the producers of Paranormal Activity.

FilmDistrict will release Insidious, a new horror film from the director-writer team of James Wan and Leigh Whannell (Saw), produced by the masterminds behind Paranormal Activity: Oren Peli, Jason Blum and Steven Schneider. The film also features Lin Shaye, Angus Sampson and Leigh Whannell and was executive produced by Brian Kavanaugh-Jones. It will be FilmDistrict’s inaugural theatrical release on April 1, 2011, opening on 2500 screens.

Insidious is the terrifying story of a family who shortly after moving discover that dark spirits have possessed their home and that their son has inexplicably fallen into a coma. Trying to escape the haunting and save their son, they move again only to discover that it was not their house that was haunted.
