As internet marketing implies it is marketing products online but not every one that is looking for a product will be looking on the internet!
I have recently had a great deal of success within a couple of niche markets with direct marketing, some may call it gorilla tactics, some may say that it is thinking out the box. Now not to blow my own trumpet but some of these methods are quite ingenious if I do not say so myself!
Now what I have done is put myself in someone else’s shoes and had a think on how and where they would look for information on certain products, not using the internet. Lets take a look at one such market, dog walking and training that I have used in the past.
I have done some research and found a couple of products that I think will sell well in that niche, they have great sales pages and have great affiliate marketer’s resources (this is a must on any product that you chooses). Once I have my products and done all the key work research, I will build a personnel site to drive traffic to and start building a list for that niche.
Part of my traffic driving will involve some online marketing, traditional marketing or direct marketing.
For this we will look at what we can do off line to get traffic to our site!
Make a post card, you can get pretty much every thing you need at your local high street stationary store, make it informative, full of colour and full of key words. Make sure that you have a very short snappy and most of all memorable web address, if they leave the shop and have forgotten your web site you will not get any traffic! Print out a couple of dozen. Now this is where you have to hold your nerve, go to your local book shop and find books and magazines on that subject and start placing your cards in the books and magazines. (I have been escorted from a local book shop, but they still let me “shop” there) As I mentioned my niche is dog walking so go to your local pet shop and put a postcard in the shop window, or any other shop that has adverts displayed in the window. Easy! It cost £5 for a month (I did pay a little extra to have the ad placed in the centre of the board at eye level)
This method does not take much to do but if you place your bright ads in the correct place it is just like being on Google page one. Once you have placed your ad in a shop window go back and check it, I went back a week later and noticed that they had placed it on the bottom row and it was behind another promotion that the shop was running. That was annoying for me as I had paid a premium to get it at eye level and in the middle! Let them know that you are checking and that you will voice your concerns, and while they are changing it slip a couple more fliers into some magazines.
The key to success is being constant and highly visible! Remember more traffic equals more profit, you can have the best product, the best web site and the best set up but if no one visits your site you will not make a penny!

As a buyer it may be hard to know that number, but a REALTOR should be able to dig around and get you a good approximation.
So I guess, in essence, a short sale is like that old Miller Beer commercial, “if you’ve got the time, we’ve got the beer”. Except put “a lot” before “time” and substitute beer for…well you’re going to need that beer.
